		<description><![CDATA[There is always a debate about when to work black (dark) and white (light) threads, and there are many valid arguments both ways.  Generally, if there is limited space available to join new threads, opt for the black first because there is less chance of a shadow showing through.

		<description><![CDATA[If you&#8217;re working a stitch that&#8217;s new to you, hold off on compensation until you&#8217;ve worked a couple of rows.  You&#8217;ll then be familiar with the stitch, and able to visualize how it should be compensated.  Unless you&#8217;re working with an overdyed thread, you can come back and do all the compensation last.
